| ORDERING AND PAYMENT. When you are ready to order, we will send you the total cost (furniture, sales tax if applicable, and an estimated shipping cost). A 50% deposit is required prior to fabrication. The remaining 50% and delivery costs will be collected prior to shipping. We accept personal checks, American Express, and VISA. Local clients are encouraged to visit the workshop and review their projects. All others may check progress photos on the secure, password-protected web site or via e-mail. FURNITURE DELIVERY. 14th Street Millworks needs 10 weeks to produce and ship furniture depending upon the production volume in the shop. At the time of purchase you will be given a precise date to within a one week window. The date given indicates the date your work leaves our shop. Time for transport varies by location. |
| CABINETRY |
| DESIGN AND ESTIMATES. Cabinetry is design intensive and site-specific, therefore requires more development time and some give and take between the architect, designer, builder, and client. After initial review of plans and a narrowing of materials, 14th Street Millworks will provide a ballpark estimate of the total project cost. This is intended to ensure the project cost is within the client’s budget thus protecting our customers from paying in at the start for something they can’t complete. We are not in the business of designing for fee, we are in the business of designing to build. For casework projects larger than $10,000, a $2,000 design deposit is required. This covers 14th Street Millworks’ time spent on planning meetings, design clarification, and shop drawings. If the client contracts with 14th Street Millworks to build the project, 50% of the deposit will be applied to the total project cost. CABINETRY DELIVERY. Within 100 mile radius of Sacramento. Either 14th Street Millworks will be installing or we will arrange drop off delivery to the client/contractor. In either case, the delivery fee is factored into the total project cost. Outside of 100 mile radius of Sacramento, standard bulk shipping rates will apply with an insured freight carrier. Approximate cost estimate for delivery will be given to the client prior to purchase. |
