Zoe Bios Creative, SFC to co-host ‘Biodiversity in Design’ talk – Furniture Today

HIGH POINT — Art resource Zoe Bios Creative will team up with the Sustainable Furnishings Council to co-host a presentation by a conservation biologist-turned-artist during the upcoming High Point Market.

“Biodiversity in Design” will be presented by Dr. Susanna Paisley from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Oct. 21, in the High Point Tile and Marble Building at 108-110 S. Elm St.

Paisley began the practice of illustrating her field notes, detailing the flora and fauna she studied. Now, she translates her illustrations into a collection of fabric and wall coverings sold to the residential, commercial and bespoke design trade under the label Newton Paisley. A percentage of proceeds are donated to nature conservation.

Paisley’s talk at Zoe Bios Creative will reference her Carolina Tree of Life collection. SFC Executive Director Susan Inglis will provide an introduction to the organization’s work and membership opportunities. Light refreshments will be served.
