Where We Work: Organic, Exeter – Prolific London

For over a decade, Organic has worked with brands to create seamless, enjoyable and engaging experiences for customers, employees and other stakeholders using digital technology and the insight of experts.

As part of their commitment to Digital for Good, they support charities, NGOs and enlightened individuals through pro bono work and thought leadership to make a positive difference to people’s lives.

They have two offices, one in London and the other in Exeter. Today, we’re taking a closer look at their Exeter workspace.

We spoke to Ben Scoggins, Commercial Director at Organic, to find out more about the office…

“The office is totally unique and was designed to our specifications by a great local design team when we moved in. We have our own studio, which enables us to shoot film and stills, plus a booth for sound, a range of bespoke meeting rooms and an attic to escape the hustle and bustle of the lower floors.

“It’s a genuinely creative environment and clients love coming here as much as our internal team love working here.”

How big is it?

The office is roughly 3,000 square feet and is spread over three floors. We have a studio downstairs with a media room, separate work spaces, meeting rooms and toilet facilities.

We’ve also recently installed an indoor bike area, which makes cycling to work a bit easier, alongside a book swap library, where people can trade their old books for new ones. The middle floor has a kitchen, some meeting rooms and our main work space. The top floor is a quiet working area, where people can get their head down and work in a more chilled environment.

What happens there?

For over a decade, we have worked with brands to create seamless, enjoyable and engaging experiences for customers, employees and other stakeholders using digital technology and the insight of experts. This has ensured that some of the biggest brands have chosen us as their partner during times of major change and transition within their sector or industry.

We work to provide strategic digital transformation consultancy to clients who understand that being ‘digital’ simply means being customer centric in a world where we plan and organise our everyday lives using technology.

Why is the workplace appropriate?

The workspace at Organic is great because there’s a really creative vibe. The building was initially a hospital and was renovated five years ago into luxury flats and office space. This gives it a really unique feel and brings a lot of character and quirkiness.

As we were the first tenants, we were able to design the office to suit our needs and wants, meaning we also used local businesses to help supply the bespoke office furniture and influence the decor of our space.

Who works there?

We have 28 full-time employees currently. Job roles include; Photographers, Copywriters, Videographers, Paid Media Experts, Graphic Designers, User Experience Experts, Finance wiz’s, Strategist, People Manager, Account Directors, Developers, Office Manager, SEO Legends, Studio Manager, Project Managers, Commercial Director, Marketing team, New Business team, Operation Manager and of course not forgetting our office dogs – Bea and Buck.
